Scorpio in Combined Astrology

Scorpio is one of the most complex signs of the Western Zodiac. That’s because there are many seeming contradictions to Scorpios that are difficult for others to understand. This comes as no surprise to Scorpios as they often have a hard time figuring themselves out. This is the sign of the old soul, the hermit, but also the practical and resourceful worker. Scorpios don’t trust others easily and have a hard time showing their feelings to others until they are nearly certain that their desired secrecy will be honored. Secrecy, especially of emotions, is a hallmark of this sign. Scorpios bury their problems deep within themselves, so deep that they hope they will never resurface again.

Scorpios live life their own way, by their own rules. They are extremely intelligent and have a strong intuition to boot, though it easy for them to become paranoid and take comments and actions from others personally when they were not intended that way. It is very important for Scorpios to be respected, and they are willing to manipulate people and situations in order to exercise their power. At the same time, they dislike playing social “games” with others and have little respect for those who do.

Those sharing the sign of Scorpio may notice in themselves a tendency to spend a lot of time alone. Indeed, this is not the most social of signs, though this can be offset by a social strength within their Chinese Zodiac Sign or by a strong aspect in their birth chart.

Scorpios are emotionally intense in many ways. Though they don’t like to show their feelings, they cannot simply continue to bury their problems and celebrate their victories alone. They need strong, close friendships in order to maintain a connection to the rest of humanity. They don’t need many friends and generally prefer smaller circles of people they can trust and who understand them, or at least try to. Loyalty is of utmost importance. In fact, if you cross a Scorpio, don’t expect them to ever trust you again. This is a sign that holds grudges for a very long time.

Even though they have a tendency to be moody and withdrawn, Scorpios also have a great deal of passion inside of them. They are highly resourceful, persistent, and ambitious. Combined with a strong intellect, it is easy for Scorpios to win in the material aspects of life, and many are indeed very successful, especially in careers that require a great deal of unemotional, scientific analysis.

Scorpio in Combined Astrology

Combined Astrology is the merging of the 12 signs of the Western zodiac with the 12 animal signs of the Chinese zodiac. I find it a very interesting and accurate form of Astrology and it is perhaps the type that I know the best. Most people are always fascinated when they read their combined sign for the first time. It really does help define who you are, questions that you may have had about yourself that your normal astrological sign hadn’t been able to answer completely can normally be answered using this method. Almost everyone knows there western sign, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, etc but not everyone knows about there Chinese sign.

Unlike the western signs, which are taken from the date of your birth, Chinese astrology is more concerned with the year of your birth and each sign begins on the Chinese New Year. There are 12 animals, The Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig. Each sign comes around every 12 years, for example I was born in 1978 which was the year of the Horse. The next Horse year after that was in 1990, 12 years later.

The 12 signs of the Chinese Zodiac affect Scorpio in different ways. The following analyses show the difference between different kinds of Scorpio.
